Tyson Stelzer (2011 Vintage) says
The back label says concentrated, robust and full bodied. Don't believe a word of it. This is a restrained and spice-accented vintage for McPherson, a wine that encapsulates the cool, pepper-laden 2011 season remarkably well for its price. Its bright rhubarb and mixed berry compote flavours are supported by finely textured, softly structured tannins. Great value.

Ten buck red is the toughest nut to crack in the wine world, and this is the last place you want to take your chances. McPherson delivers a veritable fruit cart of plush plums and dark berries and a generous shake of mixed spice. Climb on board, enjoy the ride!

Good colour; bright fruits on the bouquet supported by a lick of oak and a little spice. Good value.
