Meerea Park Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This cheeky little semillon / sauvignon blanc sees the meeting of two regions. The semillon is from the Hunter Valley (of course!) and the savvy is from that wonderful Aussie sauv blanc region - Adelaide Hills. It has a very fresh, tropical personality with lemon citrus, passionfruit and kiwi fruit giving the nose a fragant lift. The palate is quite fruity with some nice zesty lemon acidity and a crisp finish. It's outstanding value, and would be great with a Thai salad or freshly peeled prawns. It's ready to drink right now.

Winemaker's Notes

An inviting nose of lemon and tropical fruit salad aromas, the Sauvignon Blanc component adding the lifted aromatic punch. The palate is flavoursome with fruit salad and mouth-watering citrus characters, good length of flavour and well balanced acidity that keeps it crisp and lively.

A handy stylistic take on the crisp dry white, drawing together Hunter semillon and Orange sauvignon to impressive effect. it's all about crisp, juicy citrus and tropical fruit characters; the acidity kicks nicely through the finish, finishing lithe and long.
