Expert Reviews

WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Elegant, well-made wine with lifted earthy/cedary/cherry nose and a good concentration of spicy fruit flavours.
WINESTATE Volume 34 (2011) 2011
Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
Alpine Valleys is a general term for Victoria's mountainous north-east district - snow and river country. Michelini is in the Buckland Valley near the town of Bright. Riper and sweeter than you might normally expect of a sangiovese, but hellishly easy to like. It tastes of raisins and dusty cherry liqueur. Light-bodied but full of mouthpuckering tannin. Drink it by itself and it's ordinary; drink it with a bowl of pasta and it starts to sing.
