Millbrook Shiraz Cabernet Limited Release

Cracka Review

Appearance: Bright, deep ruby red with purple hues.

Nose: The wine reveals a vibrant array of plum and raspberry, with underlying vanillin oak on the nose.

Palate: A medium- to full-bodied wine with plum, blackcurrant and black cherry fruit characters and a succulent mid-palate. Excellent oak integration and ripe blue fruits are finely balanced with elegant, long and refined tannins.

Silver - Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition, 2011
Bronze - Perth Royal Wine Show, 2012

Millbrook Shiraz Cabernet Limited Release

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Crimson-purple;'LR' means Limited Release, not its origin, which is Great Southern; a fragrant bouquet with red and black fruits, notably cherry, and lashings of spice and pepper; the palate is pulsating with perfectly ripened black fruit shiraz, tannins in exact balance.

Has distinct touches of herb and spice in the mix of blackberry and cassis; the palate has an almost angular thrust, which will abate with time.

WINESTATE (2005 Vintage) says
Lovely commercial wine - quite surprising. Good weight of prune and blackberry conserve fruit. Drinking well now.

Alight- to medium-bodied array of spicy red fruits; fine-grained, ripe tannins run throughout; controlled oak. Great Southern/Margaret River.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Spicy blackberry fruit has an extra edge of fragrance from the viognier component; medium-bodied but vibrant, with very good balance and acidity.
