Millton's best-known Gisborne Chardonnay, typically a fat, full-flavoured wine, hand-picked and French oak-fermented, with excellent depth and a buttery-soft, lingering finish. The 1997 vintage grown at the River point vineyard, is a crisp, fleshy and toasty wine with plenty of citrusy flavour, but lacks the seductive lushness and softness of this label from a top year. A forward vintage, it's probably at its best during 1999-2000.
