Minko Pinot Noir Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Pinot Rose eh? Don't tell anyone, but we think that Pinot can make some of the best rose around, as shown by this little number. Produced in the oft forgotten Fleurieu Peninsula, this cheery and light wine is refreshing and simply drinkable. Great summer drinking (and more sophisticated than we expected).

Winemaker's Notes

Estate grown on glacial sands over ironstone at Mt Compass on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Appearance: Light strawberry in colour.

Nose: Rose petals and strawberry sorbet characters. Hints of brown spice aromas.

Palate: Strawberry and red cherry flavours sit over hints of mushroom and brown spice. Pretty, with tight acidity and good length.

Food: This is a refreshing dry French style rosé which is a perfect summer aperitif and will accompany most alfresco styled meals from seafood and poultry to pork and veal.

Cellaring: Drink now.

Grape Variety: Pinot noir.
