Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
In favourable vintages, this red offers good value. The 2009 is described on the back label as 'a robust Cabernet with pure fruit aromas' - and rightly so. Deep and bright in colour, it is fresh and full-bodied, with very good depth of blackcurrant, herb, spice and nut flavours. Drink now onwards.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
In favourable vintages, this reasonably priced Hawke's Bay red can offer very appealing value; in lesser years it is light and leafy. The oak-aged 2003 vintage is a youthful, green-edged wine that lacks real ripeness and depth.

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
In favourable vintages, this reasonably priced Hawke's Bay red can offer very appealing value; in lesser years it is light and herbaceous. The 1999 which includes a splash of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, shows medium-full colour and moderate depth of green-edged flavour. A solid quaffer
