Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
A shiraz of medium to full weight with delightfully spicy and penetrative varietal qualities neatly matched with well-integrated lightly smoky oak and fine-grained, powdery tannins. Its violet-like fragrance of sweet raspberries, redcurrants, cranberries and cassis reveals suggestions of mint and clove, its tightly focused core of sweet fruit finishes long and savoury, with refreshing acidity and lingering suggestions of cinnamon and anise. Excellent value.

Jeremy Oliver (2002 Vintage) says
Very drinkable, savoury and meaty shiraz with a brooding, peppery, spicy and slightly gamey perfume of plums and blackcurrants. Smooth, generous and sumptuous, its vibrant and brightly lit palate of intense minty dark fruits and creamy oak is framed by fine-grained, moderately firm tannins and lively acidity. Remarkable intensity, style and balance for its price.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Quite complex texture and structure in medium-bodied mode; a mix of sweet and more savoury/spicy fruits.

Medium-bodied; harmonious red and black fruit flavours on the neatly balanced mid-palate.
