Moana Park Vineyard Tribute Syrah Viognier

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
Very rich and soft, the 2008 vintage is a dark, powerful Gimblert Road, Hawke's Bay red. Harvested at over 24 brix, matured for a year in French oak barriques (45 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is perfumed and spicy, with an earthy streak and highly concentrated plum, black-pepper and nut flavours. Worth cellaring.

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
The deeply coloured 2007 vintage was hand-picked in Hawke's Bay, blended with Viognier (1 per cent), fermented with indigenous yeasts and barrel-aged for 18 months. For drinking now or cellaring, it's a smooth wine with blackcurrant, liquorice and spice flavours, showing very good depth.
