Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
From Constellation NZ, this wine is a roaring success in the US (reflecting its effective promotion, style and modest price). It is typically gently sweet, fresh and vibrant, with medium body, ripe-fruit flavours of melons and limes, and lots of drink-young charm. The 2008 vintage is full-bodied and lively, with crisp, ripe, non-herbaceous fruit flavours, fresh and smooth.

Ken Gargett (2006 Vintage) says
You want the truth? Savvy lovers can't handle the truth! Savvy has the complexity of boiled rice. It's a one-night-stand wine—you wouldn't remember its name next day if you didn't have the empty there staring at you reproachfully, and most savvy vineyards would be better off as carparks. But look, I don't want to influence you. Lots of drinkers love it. And if you like the stuff, this is good value—worth a look.

From Nobilo, this wine is a big success in the US (reflecting its effective promotion, style and modest price). The 2006 vintage is gently sweet (8 grams/litre of residual sugar), very fresh and vibrant, with medium body (12.5 per cent alcohol) and loads of drink-young charm.
