Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The debut 2009 vintage is a wonderful buy. From vines in conversion to organic production, it was grown on the south side of the Wairau Valley, barrel-matured for nine months (in French and Hungarian oak) and bottled unfined. Fragrant and full-bodied, it has sweet-fruit delights, ripe plum and spice flavours, gentle tannins, and more complexity than you'd expect at its modest price. (The 2010 vintage is branded Brancott Estate.)
