Matt Skinner (2008 Vintage) says
New World sauvignon blanc fans who are on the hunt for a bargain bottle should look no further than this ridiculously cheap example from the cool of Chile's Casablanca Valley. Fermented cool in stainless steel, this wine oozes smells of split peas, green herbs, guavas, and gooseberries, while the tight and racy palate delivers a hit of ripe, tropical fruit that is ever-so-nicely balanced by bright, zippy acidity and a clean drying finish. Drink it with tomato and goat's cheese on toast.
