James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Strong colour; plenty of depth and power to the black plum and spice flavours; long palate, sustained acidity.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Tightly structured and quite distinctive; dark plum, spice and a twist of acidity, still to loosen up.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
The 2001 vintage in Tasmania may yet rival the great 2000; global warming has its upsides for some parts of the world. Sumptuous dark plum fruit aromas, sweet and intense, flow into a palate overflowing with ripe (but not jammy) fruit, held together by good structure and fine tannins. Top drawer.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Light to medium-bodied; very attractive and harmonious; holding very well indeed.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet has a mix of funky/gamey characters on the one hand and spicy /plummy on the other. The palate has plenty of character, but I, for one, find the gamey bits a little too strong for comfort.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Bright, youthful purple-red. A quite fragrant bouquet with a mix of cherry and more leafy/minty overtones. The palate shows a mix of strong cherry/cherry pip fruit and more stalky/stemmy characters. Good early release, early-drinking style.
