Rob Geddes MW (2010 Vintage) says
Medium bodied in appearance with bright ruby rather than black hearted colour in the glass. Has the cool climate tapenade, oyster shell cabernet, fresh black currant, raspberry and creamy oak that grows in the glass. The medium bodied palate is finely wrought tannins with intial briar, tapenade and raspberry, a good length of flavour and fine grained tannins and regional acid carry the flavours long in the mouth. What can't they do at this establishment?

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A bit of mintiness, but quite ripe fruit; good weight and freshness.

Ripe berry fruit aroma and a tart rhubarb acidity, with low tannin and fruit profile.

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Lifted, stalky nose and sweet fruit palate with a cool climate green streak running through it.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; the moderately complex bouquet has dark berry fruit, with hints of mint and game; the palate has plenty of depth of flavour, with some cassis fruit, although it does not quite have the finish and aftertaste of its Reserve brother. Gold medal 2003 Tasmanian Wines Show.
