Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Distinctively regional, this balanced long to medium-term red has a meaty, leathery and earthy bouquet of red plums and figs backed by nuances of cloves, cinnamon and saddlery. It's long and vibrant, with deep, briary and meaty flavours supported by a firm, drying spine of bony tanning, finishing with a fiery core of flavour and a lingering note of eastern spices.

Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
A deep, earthy and meaty bouquet of briary small red and black fruits and pan scrapings with spicy nuances of cloves and cinnamon precedes a long, savoury and richly fruited palate. It's marginally porty, with deep, juicy flavours of prunes and currants framed by moderately rich and measured tannins. It dries out a little, finishing with a hint of licorice.

Glace fruit bouquet with a herbal edge. Ripe, spicy palate; some residual sugar, with acid/tannin balance. 5+
