Rob Geddes MW (2009 Vintage) says
Amazing value here with the typically regional very ripe verging jammy blackberry fruit aromas and a richly textured soft tannins with dense blackberry fruit and just a lick of tannin to dry the finish. The formerly tannic style has in 2009 gained a brighter and fresher fruit approach and more freshness with less grip.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Has really attractive mouthfeel; medium-bodied, but quite rich, with black fruits, mocha, dark chocolate and tannins all intermingling; over-delivers at its price.

Solid traditional style; blackberry fruit, dark plum and touches of earth and chocolate; oak not obvious; ripe tannins.

Big, rich, ripe voluptuous blackberry and plum; abundant, round tannins. In heroic style.
