Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says
Soft, gentle and savoury, this early-maturing wine has a musky, floral and peppery Rh“ne-like bouquet whose briary aromas of cassis, blackberries and lightly smoky vanilla oak reveal bacony undertones. Backed by faint herbal and meaty nuances, its smooht, supple presence of blackberry, raspberry, cassis and blood plum flavours is tightly knit with restrained cedary oak and fine, dusty tannins. It finishes with a light savoury aspect.

An absolute charmer. Silky smooth, seductive, fresh and uncomplicated Ð it's fresh, floral and spicy, with a briary, St-Joseph-like perfume of small back and red berries, undertone of white pepper, clove and cinnamon with restrained vanilla oak. It's reserved and elegant, with vibrant small berry flavours backed by charcuterie meats, lightly toasty oak and fine tannins, finishing with a lingering core of bright fruit and fresh acidity.

Its wild, floral bouquet of dark plums, berries, smoky chocolate oak precedes a charry, briary palate whose slightly currant-like expression of plums and small berries is supported by a fine, dusty spine of grainy tannin, finishing with length of fruit and astringency,
