Mount Edward Susan's Vineyard Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
An 'early drinking' style, based on young vines, the 2003 vintage was grown just 200 metres from the Mount Edward winery, in a tiny, 1-hectare vineyard in the Gibbston Valley owned by Susan and Terry Stevens. Matured for 11 months in French oak casks (50 per cent new), it is deep ruby, enticingly floral and supple, with good body and warmth. Impressively complex for such a young wine, it is savoury and seamless, with ripe-cherry, raspberry, herb and spice flavours showing excellent depth and harmony. Drink now onwards.
