Savoury spice aromas with pepper, smoked meats, carbon and bright red berry fruit. The medium bodied palate has middle palate density, with a fresh acidity, a mix of vegetal and herbal flavours with cedar and fennel to finish. An interesting medium bodied firm finishing spicey red.

Tempranillo shiraz and graciano an important wine in the development of regional savoury styles in Australia. Medium bodied with lovely length and complexity. Pyrethrum spice and berry fruit with medium bodied generous mid palate fruit and a long savoury finish. 2011 has a very distinctive savoury character.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
A blend of the tempranillo (56 per cent), shiraz (31 per cent), and graciano grape varieties. Nice style of wine - we like the fact that it leans on the earthy, savoury side of the bar rather than the sweet side. It tastes of nuts, cola, dark cherry, pepper and gumleaves. Smooth, suede-like tannins and some less attractive notes of citrus rind. Good weight and length. Not bad.
