Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Pale, bright quartz-green; from the very cool far southwest of Victoria; 1ha of 12-year-old vines yielded 1.5 tonnes or around 100 dozen bottles. The wine is very tight, with unsweetened grapefruit and apple flavours, and quite possibly made unoaked.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; the very cool climate is obvious, as the fruit expression, the mouthfeel and the balance are all very precise, with a mix of mineral, citrus, apple and stone fruit - somewhere in Chablis territory.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Bright, pale green; this chardonnay has an intensity and power derived from yields of 1 tonne per acre, and the very cool climate; the power is almost forbidding, and the wine needs time to soften a little in bottle.
