Mountadam Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2002 Vintage) says
Meaty, youthful pinot with a spicy, rose petal perfume of maraschino cherries and red plums before a soft, stalky palate of medium weight and some grip. Likely to build in the bottle, acquiring a good depth of varietal flavour.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; a clean rather than complex bouquet, but with attractive cherry and plum fruit; the palate is a logical follow-on, with primary fruit developing slowly. By far the best Mountadam Pinot Noir to date.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; there are some gamey aspects to the aroma, but overall the style tends more to dry red than varietal Pinot. The palate has firm plummy fruit, but a slightly hard finish detracts. May soften with time, but so may the fruit
