Mud House Marlborough Merlot

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
The richly coloured 2001 vintage was matured for a year in French oak barriques. It's a finely balanced, ripe-tasting wine with good complexity and excellent depth of vibrant, plummy, spicy flavour, concentrated and firm. One of the region's finest Merlots, it should reward cellaring to at least 2004.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
The ultra-smooth 1998 vintage was tasted prior to bottling, when it looked highly attractive. French oak-aged for a year, it's a richly coloured, deliciously ripe and plummy red in a generous, warm and supple style with excellent concentration. Drink 1999-2000.
