Picked at 24. 9 brix, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in oak casks (20 percent new), the 2002 vintage is full-coloured and peppery, with strong plum/spice flavours and good complexity, but a slight lack of softness on the finish. The 2003 is similar - spicy and slightly earthy, with vibrant plum and black pepper flavours that need a bit more warmth and roundness, but show excellent depth.
