Produced from the village of Pommard on the Cote de Beaune - famed for some of the most cellarworthy wines in the region - this 2013 Mystery Burgundy is the handiwork of a highly respected French winemaker with 30 years of Burgundy experience.
Made in a classic style, the gorgeous red ripe fruit (2013 was an excellent vintage) is given 5 days of cold maceration pre-ferment to develop colour and structure, then spends 10 months in mostly old oak before being bottled with nothing but a very light filtration.
The finished result is just delicious - packed with beautiful cherry fruit and a long, long finish.
In my humble opinion, this 2013 Mystery Burgundy is the best value Burgundy we've ever sold! If you, like me, enjoy a glass (or two) of Pinot Noir, then you'd be crazy to miss this.
