Michael Cooper (1997 Vintage) says
This label is a Marlborough classic. The 1994 vintage, winner of six gold medais around the world, was a gorgeous wine, with a lovely surge of passionfruit and capsicum-like flavours. The '96 is a lovely, easy-drinking wine with lots of class, although slightly less intense than the '94. Rich, sweet-fruit aromas lead into a mouthfilling, fruity, gentle wine with lush, ripe-tasting, passionfruit like characters, underpinned by fresh, lively acidity. The pale, intense 1997 vintage is the best since '94. It is a mouthfilling wine, beautifully balanced and concentrated, with fresh, ripe passionfruit/capsicum aromas, sweet-fruit characters and a long, zesty finish.
