James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light crimson-purple; like the varietal, has 35% whole bunches, but the new oak is 80%; the wine is more complex and savoury, part oak, part fruit-derived; has considerable length to its plum and cherry flavours and will repay short- to medium-term cellaring. 140 dozen made.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Bright clear crimson-red; still very youthful, seemingly less ripe than the alcohol would suggest; light- to medium-bodied, with fresh cherry and plum fruit, fine tannins and minimal oak influence.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Savoury/foresty/earthy aromas and flavours; light- to medium-bodied; good structure, though the tannins are still to finally resolve themselves.
