Nepenthe Pinnacle Petraea Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
Stylish and mineral, needing some bottle-age, this almost over-exuberant sauvignon blanc has a lively, complex and lightly grassy bouquet of grapefruit, gooseberries and lime juice with undertones of mineral, melon and lemon rind. It's brightly lit with and intense, foward and juicy expression of crystal-clear citrus and melon fruit with tropical nuances, culminating in a briney, mineral finish of lemony acids.

Unusual perfumed, herbal aromas and interesting rich, developed palate. Not mainstream.

Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
Nepenthe's foray into oak-fermented sauvignon is more about texture, mouth feel and minerality than oak flavour, drawing its vibrant, crunchy citrus and kiwi fruit flavours out long on the finish.

Tropical fruit crowd pleaser with good use of light, toasty oak and some sweetness.
