James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; both bouquet and palate seem to rely more on fruit and less on winemaker inputs than previous vintages, but the quality is the same. Nectarine and grapefruit aromas lead into a light to medium-bodied palate, fruit-driven, with good mouthfeel and length; the barrel-ferment and malolactic influences sotto voce.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full yellow-green; strong barrel-ferment/malolactic-ferment influences provide a complex, nutty/toasty bouquet. The long and lingering palate has excellent acidity to balance the flavours promised by the bouquet, and which duly present themselves.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green, showing some development. Right from the initial bouquet to the finish of the palate the wine shows indelible winemaker thumbprints, with both barrel-ferment and malolactic-ferment influences woven through the sweet melon fruit. One is left to wonder whether less would have been better.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; the aromas ripple through melon and citrus to cashew and toast, with the oak influence subtle throughout. The palate is quite elegant and tight, with the sensitive use of barrel-ferment characters giving a mix of creamy cashew characters to the core of melon fruit.
