Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The attractively perfumed 2008 vintage was matured in French oak barriques (25 per cent new). A generous wine, with full colour and strong plum and spice flavours, it is sweet-fruited, savoury and finely textured, with good complexity and harmony.

Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
Grown at Gibbston and Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, the 2006 vintage was picked at an average of 24.2 brix and matured for 10 months in French oak casks (25 per cent new). Mouthfilling and supple, with ripe cherry/plum flavours, showing good density and charm, it is a very harmonious wine, enjoyable now.
