Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
The debut 2006 vintage was based on 14-year-old vines at Gibbston and younger vines at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, harvested at an average of 25 brix. Matured for 18 months in French oak barrels (half new), it's a ripe, sweet-fruited red with concentrated cherry and plum flavours, seasoned with nutty oak, good complexity and a well-rounded finish. It's already delicious; drink now or cellar. (It was originally released at $58.)
