Ngatarawa Glazebrook Regional Reserve Hawke's Bay Merlot Cabernet

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
The 2007 vintage from Ngatarawa winery was grown in the Gimblett Gravels (89 per cent) and The Triangle (11 per cent). A blend of Merlot (68 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (32 per cent), it was matured for a year in French oak barriques (50 per cent new). Classy, powerful and firm, it is deep and youthful in colour, with concentrated blackcurrant and plum flavours, a hint of dark chocolate, chewy tannins, and excellent depth and structure. Showing good complexity, it should be long-lived.
