Cracka Review

Pomegranate and cranberry aromas with the gentle spice of cedar and nutmeg. Rose petals and matchstick too. On the palate, red currant and cherry fruits. Rosewood, savoury with a touch of spice. The herbal notes of our past Pinot Noir wines are not as apparent this vintage. The quickened ripening cut stem ripeness short so any whole bunch was virtually excluded from fermentation. The tannins are powdery, rolling persistently and with gentle length.

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Light colour, but retains good hue; in mainstream Adelaide Hills style, with delicate red fruits supported (or challenged) by spicy, foresty tannins; has good length and aftertaste.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Unambiguously at the earthy/ forest floor end of the spectrum; the fruit is light-bodied, its supports stronger; may evolve.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Complex aromas and flavours; some forest and animal notes to black cherry and spice fruit; very long finish.
