Nobilo Huapai Val. Pinotage

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1994 Vintage) says
Huapai-grown, and matured in oak casks for a year (previously 18 months), this is typically a strong-flavoured red, peppery and zesty. The 1993 vintage is a fresher, less wood-influenced style than in the past. The 94 is maturing well, with good weight and depth and a positive tannin grip. The bouquet is earthy, with a touch of gamey complexity; the palate warm, spicy and persistent, with restrained oak influence. It reminded me of a minor southern Rhone, but the '93 vintage was just as good and $10 cheaper
