Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
The 1999 vintage of this single-vineyard Gisborne wine was 60 per cent tank-fermented; the rest was fermented in French oak, with a 'large portion' of malolactic fermentation. A golden wine with plenty of peachy, pine appley, slightly honeyed and toasty flavour and a fractionally hard finish, it is not a top vintage. There is no 2000.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
Savoury, nutty and mealy on the nose, the 1998 vintage of this single-vineyard Gisborne wine was fermented and matured for four months in American oak. It's a fairly complex and stylish wine with good freshness and vigour and excellent depth of lemony, peachy flavours, with a hint of butterscotch. Delicate and finely balanced, it offers satisfying drinking from now on.
