Noon Solaire Reserve Grenache

Cracka Review

Colour:This wine is deep in colour and still holding a youthful touch of purple to the hue. The aroma is attractive, displaying characters of ripe red berries, plums and cedar/spice notes.

Nose:Interestingly, on opening yesterday the nose was much more subdued and therefore obviously benefits from some air, so decant some time prior to serving if possible.

Palate:It had a lovely full bodied palate with a really mouth-filling depth about it. The balance was excellent. There is a touch of sweetness balanced by firm tannins and a long finish of 45 seconds in the mouth.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; the ripe and concentrated juicy berry bouquet gives little hint of the almost unbelievably rich, concentrated and amazingly sweet palate. That sweetness is fruit and alcohol, and not unfermented sugar.
