Noonji Estate Old Vine Hunter Valley Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Produced from hand-picked, 40-year-old, dry-grown, low-yielding vines, factors which explain the length and intensity of flavour; fermentation in large older oak has laid only a light hand on the stone fruit/grapefruit flavours. The skill of contract winemaker Nick Patterson is very obvious in a little-known wine.

In the Noonji chardonnay style, punching well above its 12.4% alcohol weight; white and yellow peach fruit offset by spritely acidity.
