Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2002 Vintage) says
This is a new label from the state-of-the-art Mount Benson winery operated by the Belgian company Kreglinger, which also owns Pipers Brook. While we have reservations about the viability of the name 'Road to Robe', this is a pretty smart red at a good price. Sourced from South Australia's Limestone Coast zone, it shows some spicy aromatics, has ripe dark plum and blackberry flavours and is soft, smooth and fleshy. While the finish is soft and gentle, there are heaps of tannins in the background, suggesting that it will improve with short-term cellaring.
