Winemaker's Notes

Maison Abelé has two kilometres of underground cellars dug out of solid chalk in the heart of Reims. Devotion to excellence is natural in these ancient vaulted cellars.

Made from the best crus in Champagne, Brut Traditionnel is ready to drink after three years of ageing under ideal conditions, away from light and variations in temperature.

Grape Varieties: 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier.

Appearance: Pale golden colour with greenish highlights. Remarkably fine bubbles and a beautiful, persistent bead.

Bouquet: Attractive and luscious, with hints of hawthorn and acacia blossoms as well as overtones of peach and apricot.

Palate: Exceptional ripeness on the palate. Toasty, honey, and cinnamon flavours. This elegant Cuvée has a full bodied, generous aftertaste. Perfect for the aperitif or with a first course.

Alcohol: 12%

NV Henri Abele Brut Champagne

Expert Reviews

Gilbert & Gaillard says
Light yellow-gold. Focused nose opening up to fruit notes with a floral touch and chalky note. Good grip on the palate. A dry Champagne that is structured yet soft and fresh and reveals more of the fruity mineral dimension.
Huon Hooke says
Attractive wine, with a light yellow colour and a bouquet of nougat and nutty aldehydes, quite savoury - cashew and almond - the palate rich and soft, dry and savoury, with what seems a moderate dosage level. Clean, resonant aftertaste. Good freshness and character.
Wine Spectator says
Lightly floral on the nose, featuring hints of ripe plum, toast, crunchy white peach and lemon pith, with a zesty, minerally underpinning on the palate. A well-meshed version, offering a firm, clean-cut finish
