James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Good crimson hue; bright, lively, spicy overtones to plum fruit; the medium-bodied palate has lovely supple texture, the tannins fine, the finish juicy.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
There's a spicy style of cool-climate shiraz that can taste a lot like pinot noir. Here's an example. If you're used to drinking rich, warm-climate shiraz then you might find this wine confronting - despite its quality. It tastes of various herbs and spices with licks of cherry and cough medicine too. It's ripe, though, and complex, with a good hit of chewy tannin and satisfying length.
The Big Red Wine Book 2010/11 2010
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Good hue, although not deep; an elegant, light- to medium-bodied shiraz with clear, cool-grown spice and pepper lifting the savoury finish. Gold medals Victoria and Melbourne wine shows.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says
A nice, spicy cola and berries style of shiraz that has some bright fragrance, sweet ripe plums and more on the nose. The palate's supple and juicy, mid-weight and swirling with dark-berry, pepper and plum flavour; neatly balanced. Drinking beautifully already.
The Good Wine Guide 2012
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
In typical winery fashion, with abundant blackberry and plum fruit; splashes of spice, and integrated oak.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Medium-bodied; attractive spicy/cedary notes to the red and black fruits of the mid-palate; silky tannins, good length.
