Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
One of the highlights of Horst Hillerich's range is his Gisborne-grown Pinotage 'primeur'. Some of the grapes are whole-bunch fermented, using the traditional Beaujolais technique. The 1999 vintage is ruby-hued, fresh and raspberryish, with buoyant, plummy flavours, lively and supple. Ready.

One of the highlights of Horst Hillerich's range is his Gisborne-grown Pinotage "primeur". Some of the grapes are whole-bunch fermented, using the traditional Beaujolais technique. The 1997 vintage is maturing well. Savoury and smooth, it's a full-bodied wine with plenty of cherryish, spicy flavour, mellow and satisfying. Drink ASAP.

One of the Highlights of Horst Hillerich's range is his Gisborne-grown Pinotage "primeur . Some of the grapes are whole-bunch fermented, using the traditional Beaujolais technique. The 1996 vintage was 35 per cent whole-bunch fermented and briefly oak-aged. It's a characterful wine, brick red in colour, with soft, berryish, fractionally sweet flavour and a touch of savoury, gamey complexity. Ready.
