Okahu Est. Ninety Mile Red Blend

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1995 Vintage) says
At its best, this is a very characterful Northland red: fleshy, with lots of savoury, spicy, blackcurrant like flavour and a firm tannin grip. The '94 is warm, earthy, firm and spicy. The 1995 vintage is a Kaitaia, estate-grown blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, French oak-aged for 18 months. It's rustic on the nose - as was the '93 - but chunky and firm, with good depth of berryish, spicy, slightly earthy flavour in a fairly ripe style with some complexity.
