The 2002 vintage was hand-picked in Central Otago and fermented and matured for 10 months, with weekly lees-stirring, in French oak barriques (20 per cent new). Pale yellow, it's a distinctly cool-climate style, creamy and minerally, with citrusy, appley flavours seasoned with quality oak and crisp acidity. Maturing well, it's probably now at its peak.
