Olssens Charcoal Joe Central Otago Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
Named after a nineteenth-century goldminer, this wine is hand-picked at Bannockburn, in Central Otago, and fermented and matured in French oak barriques (15 per cent new in 2009). The 2009 vintage is one of the best yet. Fleshy, with ripe grapefruit-like flavours, showing good, oak-derived complexity, it has a hint of butterscotch, a slightly creamy texture and excellent depth. It's drinking well now.
