Omaka Springs Marlborough Cabernet Merlot

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1997 Vintage) says
The 1997 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60 per cent) and Merlot (40 per cent), matured in French oak casks. It's a fruit-driven style with deep colour and plenty of blackcurrant, plum and mint flavour, supple and fresh.

Michael Cooper (1996 Vintage) says
One-half of the 1996 vintage was handled in oak, but its chief appeal lies in its fresh, vibrant fruit characters. Bright pink-red in hue, with floral, raspberryish aromas, it is full-bodied, slightly minty and supple, offering good, no-fuss drinking through 1998.
