James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Full, bright crimson-purple; here is an object lesson in the impact of terroir (in its full meaning), for the wine has a radically different expression of pinot noir, with plum firmly in the driver's seat, but don't think this has been overworked in the winery because it hasn't. It combines its fluid line with texture, which accelerates through to the finish. 150 dozen made.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright purple-crimson; a fragrant bouquet of plum/plum blossom doesn't fully signal the power and purity of the palate, although the flavours do track the bouquet. This is a lovely wine that will turn into something special over the next few years.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
More purple hints than Gippsland, slightly less bright; a more complex bouquet and palate, both in terms of texture/structure and flavours; savoury touches of forest and stem.
