Tyson Stelzer (2013 Vintage) says
This is an early-drinking St Helga, a wine of even persistence, an impressive result for the season. It’s racy, taut and concentrated all at once, with firm acidity contrasting intense red apple generosity and lifted bath salts and lemon blossom fragrance.
Wine Taste Edition 127 2013
Tyson Stelzer (2012 Vintage) says
A hint of mandarin adds a suggestion of generosity to a pristine bouquet of lemon blossom and granny smith apple. The palate is precise, crunchy and citrus-focused, with a mouth-filling, slatey minerality and taut acidity of sensational persistence.

A note of mandarin provides a suggestion of generosity to St HelgaÕs pristine lemon blossom and Granny Smith apple fruits. ItÕs precise, crunchy, citrus-focused and accented with mouth-filling, slatey minerality and tense acidity. An impressive vintage for St Helga.

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
Very fine and elegant, scented with a lightly spicy, chalky perfume of lime juice, pear and apple lifted by scents of iris and white flowers1 It?s supple and very refined, with a long, fluffy palate delivering a restrained but vibrant presence of lemon, lime, apple and pear supported by a fine chalkiness1 With a tangy but gentle acidity, it finishes with tightness and focus1
The Australian Wine Annual 2014 Edition 2014
Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says
Fine and sculpted, with a fresh perfume of lavender and white flowers backed by nuances of lime, musk and a fine chalkiness. It's long and shapely, with a gentle presence of fresh apple, pear and lime flavour underpinned by a fine slatey texture, finishing with excellent length, freshness and balance.

Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
Beautifully presented and focused, long and vibrant, this classically elegant and restrained riesling opens with a floral perfume of lime and slate backed by hints of funkiness and reduction, and penetrated by fresh lemon and mineral aspects. It's long, supple and gentle, with blight, pristine fruit extending towards a persistent finish of tangy, lemony acidity.

Australian Wine Vintages 2010
Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says
Classic lemony quartz Eden Valley style, with really fragrant and crystalline aromas. Shows great finesse and impressive restraint, tart and yet delicate, not at all aggressive. This is just settling into stride.
The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2010 2009
Jeremy Oliver (2007 Vintage) says
Modestly bright and penetrative, it's scented with lime, pear and apple with talcum powder-like undertones of wet stones, minerals and a slightly candied aspect. While it's moderately long and elegant, with a juicy, slightly cooked and syrupy expression of fruit overlying a fine, chalky undercarriage, it lacks its typical length and focus.

Long, tight and finely balanced, this intensely flavoured riesling reveals a floral perfume of rose petals, lime juice and hints of baby powder, backed by faint mineral undertones. Juicy, long and intense, with a slightly candied aspect, its explosively flavoured palate of pristine and tangy citrus fruit overlies a fine, chalky backbone, before culminating in a lingering and tightly sculpted finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
An excellent riesling of purity and focus, con-centrarion and minerality, its delicate and crys-talline aromas of pear and apple reveal perfumed undertores of flower petals and lime juice. Exceptionally lona and shapely,it bursts with an essence-like brightness of pristine citrus flavour, culminating in a persistent mineral finish of lime-like acids.

Aromas of light toast and lime; a fresh and vibrant palate; lime and mineral.
Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004
James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Light to medium green-yellow; at the end of 1997 starting to show the classic bottle development that it promised as a young wine, and will improve even more from here. Ultra-classic lime, toast and kerosene aromas and flavours on a perfectly structured and balanced palate. An extremely distinguished wine at the price, and deservedly a top gold medal winner at the 1997 Liquorland National Wine Show.
