Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Light- to medium-bodied; firm black fruits and some spicy notes; fractionally hard finish, surprising given the fermentation was finished in barrel. Great Southern/Margaret River.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Abundant black fruits, blackberry and chocolate; nice, ripe tannins; subtle oak.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; the clean bouquet has a mix of raspberry and blueberry fruit supported by subtle oak; there is plenty of weight, depth and structure to the youthful palate, the fruit flavours ranging through raspberry to plum; the American oak has been particularly well-integrated.

Ray Jordan (2001 Vintage) says
Super wine this. Crams heaps of lush ripe Margaret River shiraz into the mix with a healthy sprinkling of pepper and spice. The balance on the palate is impeccable and provides a neat focus to an impressively sustained finish. Drinking well now but will cellar for some five to eight years easily
