Expert Reviews

WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Attractively scented, fruit-driven style, citrusy and smooth. Fresh, youthful middleweight, showing some leesy complexity and decent depth.

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
Pencarrow is Palliser Estate's second-tier label. The 2007 vintage is a great buy. Grown in Martinborough, it's a fleshy, softly structured wine with generous, grapefruit-like flavours, some oak complexity and a slightly creamy texture.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
Pencarrow is Palliser Estate's second-tier label, fermented and lees-aged in American and French oak casks. A blend of Martinborough and Marlborough grapes, the light yellow 2003 vintage is lemony and smooth, with moderate complexity and depth.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; there is obvious, slightly coarse, oak input on the bouquet, but the fruit strikes back on the palate, with quite good length.
