Paradise IV The Bates' Ford Shiraz Cabernet

Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Charmingly stylish and textured, this generous, succulent medium to full-bodied shiraz has a fragrant, floral and meaty bouquet whose fresh aromas of red, black and blue berries are handsomely knit with spicy mocha/cedar oak and underpinned by nuances of chocolate, undergrowth and earthy notes. Deeply flavoured, but smooth and supple, it's long and savoury, with a wonderful balance between fruit and funkiness, with more strength and texture than it first reveals. It finishes with fresh, but deliciously soft acids.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
This is a straight-out shiraz-cabernet sauvignon blend -though the truth is that it's shiraz-dominant. It's a lovely wine with notes of game, dry licorice and black cherry. It's a fascinating drink, really. It's juicy, flavoursome and complete, the run of ripe tannin through the finish drying in a minorly aggressive way (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that). This is a wine for sitting, contemplating and enjoying.
