Now, this is where sav blanc puts on a serious face and its Sunday best to strut its stuff. Direct from the savvy homeland of the Loire Valley, this perky little number that shows lots of gooseberries, lime zest and chopped herbs on the nose. The palate then chimes in with juicy, more-ish limy flavours, a talcy mouthfeel, and a dry, frisky finish. Enjoy it with some sushi.
Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres.
